A growing career
With over 27 years of skincare experience, Anna Churchill began her career as a professional makeup artist and licensed aesthetician in South Florida, where she had the opportunity to train under some of the country’s top dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Anna continued her career as a beauty industry consultant, teaching innovative skincare and business development to dermatologists, plastic surgeons, aestheticians and spa owners in Asia, Canada and the US.
Prior to consulting, Anna had the privilege to work in product formulation and training for Clinical Skin Care companies, such as Swissline by Dermalab, NeoStrata and SkinCeuticals. She has also formulated her own line of products, Skin by Synergy, which focuses on hyperpigmentation, correction of aging, acne, and other skin conditions.
Industry-leading success
In 2004, she moved to Raleigh to found Synergy Face + Body, which began with a team of 10 providers. It has since grown to over 70 full-time employees with seven locations across North Carolina and Virginia. Through her medical service organization (MSO) company, she oversees a state-of-the-art Plastic Surgery Practice with a private operating facility in Raleigh. Her med-aesthetics department is in the Top 3 accounts nationwide with Allergan, the makers of Botox®, Juvederm®, and CoolSculpting®.
Anna is an industry consultant and a regular contributor to various magazine publications, including Midtown Magazine, Walter, Raleigh Magazine and Triangle Style Magazine. Synergy’s North Raleigh location features a modern training center where she hosts seminars and consulting courses for those seeking advancement in all things aesthetics. Anna often speaks at industry conferences and seminars, training business owners and providers on skin care/medical aesthetics and business development. She speaks on behalf of Sciton Laser Company to physicians and owners, discussing best practices for enhancing results with their superior laser technology and serves on the board for Allergan’s Partner Privileges Program.
Anna’s nonprofit work
Outside of work, Anna is very active in the nonprofit community and is an avid supporter of our local performing arts organizations. She serves on the Executive Board for the North Carolina Theatre, and is an active supporter of the Carolina Ballet, CAM Raleigh (where she is a member of CAM’s Betty Eichenberger Adams Society), Theatre Raleigh, and the North Carolina Museum of Art, among others.
Awards + recognition
Synergy was voted Best Place to De-Age, Best Med Spa and Best Place to Get a Mani/Pedi in the 2019 Midtown Magazine Diamond Awards, and most recently, Anna was featured alongside Synergy’s plastic surgeon on a Raleigh news station regarding the impact of social media on plastic surgery.
In 2018, Anna was awarded the Business Support of the Arts award by the United Arts Council in the Small Business category for her generosity towards the arts community, as well as the Entrepreneur Award by Triangle Business Journal’s Women in Business Awards.
Synergy has also been featured in national publications such as Departures, People, Skin Inc. and Le Noveules.
