FAQs

How long does a typical massage therapy session last?

Synergy massages are offered in full 45, 60, 75, or 90 minute sessions. Unlike many traditional spas, we don’t use any of your treatment time for “turning the room around” — we build in an additional 15 minutes between appointments so you get your complete massage time, a proper pre- and post-consultation, and time to dress without feeling rushed.

What are the benefits of massage therapy?

Massage therapy can help ease muscle tension, improve circulation, reduce stress, and support overall relaxation. Depending on the technique, it may also help with detoxification, joint pain, headaches, and fatigue. Our range of treatments, from customized Swedish/deep tissue to hot stone, Thai yoga massage, and cupping, allows your provider to tailor the approach to your specific goals.

Will I be sore after a massage?

Mild soreness can happen, especially after deeper pressure work like deep tissue massage, hot stone therapy, or cupping. This is typically short-lived and similar to the feeling after a workout. Drinking water afterward and communicating your pressure preference with your therapist can help minimize any post-massage soreness.

Is it normal to fall asleep during a massage?

Yes, it’s very common and a good sign that your body is relaxing. Many clients doze off during their session, especially during longer treatments like our 90-minute massages or hot stone therapy.

Can massage therapy help with specific medical conditions?

Massage therapy is often used to support relief from muscle tension, stress, anxiety, joint pain, and fatigue, and some clients use it alongside care for chronic conditions. However, it isn’t a replacement for medical treatment. If you have a specific medical condition, are pregnant, or have any health concerns, let us know in advance so we can tailor your treatment appropriately, and check with your doctor if you’re unsure whether massage is right for you.
