Halo Laser for Melasma
Melasma can be a difficult condition to treat, but a Halo laser treatment in our Raleigh office can be a great option to incorporate in your plan of care. If you have a mixture of epidermal and dermal pigment, Halo can help treat them both utilizing the hybrid fractional laser technology!
Featuring
PRO-NOX
To ensure you’re as comfortable as possible during your Halo treatment, you’ll be given a topical numbing agent as well as have access to our PRO-NOX device to self-administer as needed. PRO-NOX is an inhalable pain reduction gas that dentists’ offices have been using for years; it combines nitrous oxide and oxygen for subtle and almost-instantaneous pain relief. During your treatment, you’ll simply inhale through the mouthpiece to reach your desired comfort level. The best part is that within 10 minutes, all analgesic will be out of your system and you’ll be able to safely drive yourself home.

FAQs
What’s great about Halo in Raleigh is that you can choose how many treatments you want! During your consultation, we will determine your needs and you can choose to have one or two more aggressive treatments or have multiple treatments that are less aggressive and achieve a similar goal over a longer period of time.
With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, most patients experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 15 to 30 minutes, or a bit longer with deeper treatment levels.
For the first 24 hours you should keep your skin protected according to your clinician’s instructions, but after that you should be able to go about your normal activities. After the first 24 hours your skin will begin to peel, but you will be able to put on makeup. For a facial treatment, you will see very little change on the first day. After two to three days you will develop a light bronzing appearance. By day three or four your skin will peel, revealing your new skin beneath.
