About Melasma Peels

Melasma Peels Treat:

• Sun Spots
• Uneven Skin Tone

• 30 minutes in-office, with the mask remaining on for several hours at home

• Most patients will experience redness and peeling after treatment
• Peeling typically begins on day 2 or 3 and will last for a few days, and redness will last for one to two weeks

How the Melasma Peel in Raleigh Works

The active ingredients in the peel are Arbutin and retinol, which work together to speed up cell turnover and treat discoloration. The treatment consists of both an in-office peel as well as a strict home-care routine for weeks following the peel.

The peel is applied in-office during your visit and remains on the skin for anywhere between 5 and 10 hours depending on your skin type. You’ll be given instructions to remove the peel at home, and you will also be given a home-care kit to follow in the weeks following your treatment.
