Dr. Shaw joined Synergy after successfully running his own practice in Richmond for more than a decade. At Synergy, he is supported by a team of professionals who share his belief in helping patients feel confident in their own skin. Known for his compassion, skill, and expertise, Dr. Shaw enhances the natural beauty of every patient he treats. His passion for medicine was sparked during a mission trip to Kenya in medical school, where he witnessed firsthand the impact of care on those in need. Inspired by his father’s lifelong dedication to service, Dr. Shaw has carried that commitment into his own career, giving back through volunteer work in facial reconstruction and community health initiatives.

With over 25 years of experience as a certified physician assistant, Jess brings a rare blend of clinical expertise, surgical precision, and artistic skill to the field of medical aesthetics. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Sciences and spent over 13 years specializing in orthopedic surgery.
Today, she specializes in advanced injectable treatments and wellness-based therapies. As Clinical Director for all Synergy locations across North Carolina and Virginia, she leads with a deep commitment to patient safety, education, and results-driven care.
Her foundation in traditional medicine guides her approach to aesthetics, combining anatomical expertise with an eye for natural enhancement. She’s especially passionate about empowering patients with knowledge and guiding them to confident, beautiful outcomes.
