• Forehead lines: The frontalis muscle lifts your brows, and years of that motion etch horizontal lines across the forehead. Botox relaxes the muscle so the lines soften at rest. Dosing here takes judgment, since treating too aggressively can leave the brow feeling heavy, which is why your injector maps this area to your own brow position rather than a standard pattern.

• Crow’s feet: Smiling and squinting contract the muscle that rings the eye, creating lines that fan out from the outer corners. A few units placed along that ring soften the lines while leaving your smile intact. Most patients keep some expression lines here on purpose, and we’ll talk through how much movement you want to preserve before we treat.

• Frown lines (11 lines): Two vertical creases between the brows come from the muscles that pull them together when you concentrate or frown. This was the first area the FDA approved Botox to treat, and it tends to respond predictably. Softening these lines often reads as looking less tired or less stern, which is the most common reason patients ask about them.

• Lip flip: A few units placed along the upper lip relax the muscle so the lip rolls slightly outward, adding definition without filler. Results last about two to three months, shorter than a standard Botox treatment. A lip flip adds shape rather than volume, so if you’re looking for a fuller lip, dermal filler is the better fit and we’ll say so.

• Chin dimpling: The mentalis muscle sits at the point of the chin, and when it’s overactive the skin above it takes on a pebbled, orange-peel texture. Relaxing that muscle smooths the surface. Patients often notice this one in photos before they notice it in the mirror.

• Jawline slimming (masseter Botox): Injections into the masseter muscle soften a squared jawline and can ease clenching discomfort. Most patients need two to three sessions before the muscle visibly reduces, so this area calls for more patience than a forehead treatment. Results build gradually as the muscle decreases in size, and maintenance keeps it there.

• Neck bands: Vertical cords running down the front of the neck come from the platysma, a broad sheet of muscle that tightens with age and expression. Botox placed along those bands softens their appearance. Skin laxity and neck bands are different problems, so if loose skin is the main concern, a consultation will point you toward skin tightening instead.

When Will I See Results?

Botox results typically begin appearing within 3–7 days, with full results visible within about two weeks.

The effects of Botox usually last three to four months, after which maintenance treatments can help preserve results.
