Why Should I Consider RADIESSE®?

Many men and women struggle with the frustration of having skin blemishes on their faces, including wrinkles and fine lines, pigmentation issues, and skin laxity. These facial skin issues are often caused by age. However, just because aging is natural doesn’t mean that you need to
sit back and accept these skin imperfections. Instead, both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures can offer you stunning rejuvenation to both the look and feel of your facial skin, and one of the most effective of these non-surgical treatments is a corrective skin peel. At Synergy Face + Body, we are proud to offer several different options of corrective peels to help you achieve the skin quality that you’ve been missing.

As with any cosmetic treatment or surgical procedure, many prospective patients who are interested in corrective peels are a little hesitant about the specific treatment, especially regarding the treatment process and the recovery time. If you are interested in the results you can achieve with a corrective peel treatment, then this blog will hopefully help answer some questions for you so that can decide on your corrective peel with a clear understanding of what to expect.

Why Should I Trust My Corrective Peel With Synergy Face + Body?

At Synergy Face + Body, we offer a large selection of corrective peels for your facial skin, with each peel targeting specific improvements for your skin’s look and feel. Whether you are looking to smooth away wrinkles and fine lines in your skin or you simply want to revitalize your skin’s dull and worn-out appearance, there is a peel treatment for you.

Each of these peels uses the same concept of removing the upper layer of skin (along with all the dirt, grime, and other impurities) with the use of a chemical solution that is spread on the facial skin. By removing this top layer of skin, you are essentially holding true to the adage, “Out
with the old, in with the new,” since your old skin will be gone to make room for newer and healthier skin that is blemish-free!

Each of our skincare specialists is skilled and knowledgeable with skin rejuvenating treatments, including peels. Not only will your specialist help you decide which treatment is right for you, but they will walk you through the process and keep your best interest (health and results) at
the forefront of everything they do. Make sure to check out the various corrective peels we offer our patients.

What to Expect Before, During, and After My Corrective Peel

Before Your Peel
One of the most important aspects of any plastic surgery procedure or cosmetic treatment is your consultation. At your corrective peel consultation, you will have the chance to voice your frustrations and goals with your facial skin. Your skincare specialist will evaluate your skin condition to determine which treatment is right for you. They will also be able to give you an accurate idea of what to expect from the treatment for you, specifically. You will be able to ask any questions you have about the treatment, recovery, and results. Additionally, your skincare specialist will give you pre- or post-treatment instructions.
During Your Peel
Usually, no anesthesia or topical cream is applied before your treatment. Depending on the type of peel, your skincare specialist will apply the specific chemical solution to your facial skin.
This solution will cause the top layer(s) of your skin to blister and peel away over the next several days. The length of time and the specific feeling of the corrective peel will vary with each individual type of treatment. Once the prescribed time is up, the solution will be washed
from your face, and you’ll be good to go.
After Your Peel
Most patients experience some swelling and redness on the treated skin after their treatment. You may also feel some discomfort on your skin—many patients liken the feeling to that of a sunburn. However, side effects vary from treatment to treatment and patient to patient. For most of the corrective peels that we offer at Synergy Face + Body, you will see your treated skin begin to flake three days after your treatment. This flaking often lasts for two days. During this time, it is important that you do not pick or pull at the flaking skin, but rather let the skin fall off on its own. While the old, dead skin peels away, it is being replaced with new,
healthy skin to give you a rejuvenated appearance that you can feel comfortable and confident showing off.

During your recovery, it is important to follow any instructions given to you by your skincare specialist, including using any prescription creams or ointments, staying out of direct sunlight, and refraining from any strenuous activity.

How Can RADIESSE® Help Me?

Once RADIESSE® is injected into the treatment area, it can provide you with a smoother, more full facial aesthetic. Patients may experience some swelling, redness, bruising, and discomfort in the treatment area, but these side effects will subside after a few days. There is no downtime associated with this treatment; however, you may choose to rest the day after your treatment rather than running a marathon.

Results are immediate and have been shown to last one year or longer. Because this filler is only temporary, repeat treatments may be necessary if you wish to keep the same results. RADIESSE® can help increase your confidence and improve your overall facial aesthetic to a rejuvenated state.
